100% Local Processing: SaveIt functions entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, store, or transmit your photos, videos, media, contacts, or personal files to any remote server or cloud service.

No Personal Data Collection or Selling: We do not track personal identities, nor do we sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties.

2. Permissions Requested & Why We Need Them

To perform its core utility features (viewing, preserving, and saving WhatsApp status media), SaveIt requests specific local storage permissions on your Android device. We strictly request only the minimum necessary permissions to function:

A. Media & Storage Access (`READ_MEDIA_IMAGES`, `READ_MEDIA_VIDEO`, `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`, `WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`)

Why We Ask: WhatsApp temporarily stores status files in a hidden local directory (`.Statuses`) on your device. SaveIt requires storage permission to detect these temporary media files, display them in the app, and save requested photos and videos directly into your phone's public Gallery (`Pictures/SaveIt` for images and `Movies/SaveIt` for videos).

Privacy Guarantee: Access is strictly local. SaveIt reads media files exclusively from your local disk and writes them to your local gallery. No media file ever leaves your phone.

B. Storage Access Framework (SAF) Directory Permission (where applicable)

Why We Ask: On newer Android versions (Android 10+), Android requires explicit folder access via the Storage Access Framework to read status media from WhatsApp directory paths.

Privacy Guarantee: This permission only allows SaveIt to read status files stored locally by WhatsApp on your own phone.

3. How the 7-Day Status Time Machine Works

SaveIt Pro includes a 7-Day Status Time Machine feature designed to help users access WhatsApp statuses even after they expire from WhatsApp's standard 24-hour window.

Local Caching Only: When you view statuses, SaveIt caches a local copy inside the app's private sandbox storage directory.

7-Day Auto-Purge: Cached status files are automatically and permanently deleted from your device after 7 days to conserve storage space.

Zero Cloud Storage: The Status Time Machine operates 100% offline on your device. Status media is never uploaded to external servers, cloud databases, or remote storage. Your cached media stays exclusively on your phone.

4. Third-Party Services & SDK Integrations

SaveIt incorporates industry-standard, secure third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) for handling in-app purchases and displaying advertisements. These third-party services operate under their own respective privacy policies:

A. RevenueCat & Google Play Billing (In-App Purchases & Subscriptions)

Purpose: To manage and verify SaveIt Pro purchases (lifetime access and recurring subscriptions).

How It Works: Purchases are processed directly through Google Play Store In-App Billing. SaveIt uses RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and track active pro entitlements using an anonymous app user identifier (`$RCAnonymousID`).

Data Protection: We do not collect, receive, or store your credit card numbers, banking details, or financial credentials. All payment transactions are securely handled by Google Play.

B. Google AdMob (Advertisements)

Purpose: To serve non-intrusive banner, native, interstitial, and app open advertisements to users on the free tier.

How It Works: Google AdMob may collect technical device information (such as Android Advertising ID, device model, IP address, and coarse location) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, perform ad frequency capping, and prevent ad fraud.

Since SaveIt processes all media locally on your physical phone and does not transmit data to external servers, your data security depends on your device's security. We recommend securing your device with a PIN, password, or biometric lock.

7. Children's Privacy

SaveIt does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a third-party service within our app, please contact us for prompt resolution.
